Your display is the interface and control system for your middrive. The DM01 and DM02 are carefully matched to specific diplays giving you a variety of options and configurations. New models are being released regularly after undergoing design and configuration testing and certification. The T24 is the workhorse of the bunch and is highly recommended for the entire DM series. Both the T24 and the LCD135C offer advanced setting capability to fine tune the middrive functions, while the smaller M15 and T154 offer a more compact side mount readout for a minimalistic layout. The T24 and LCD135C can handle battey pack voltages up to 60V, while the M15 and T154 are rated up to 48V.
New models are on the way! Check back here for information on upcoming Bluetooth/App models.
Chainrings
Your chainring is an important component for a successful middrive installation. Cadence is the rate that the pedals rotate at a given speed. Riders looking for serious exercise use a proper cadence rhythm to target a specific heart rate. This needs to be combined with conditions such as rear gear selection, hills, speed desired and load. The average cadence for many cyclists is around 80-90 RPM at the crank, but this can be varied depending on the rider and conditions. A good chest strap heart rate monitor and watch can help you maintain proper levels. Always consult your physician when undertaking an exercise program.
Aside from the exercise aspect, chainring sizes are also important for the type of riding you are doing, the loads you are carrying, the size of your motor, and terrain you might encounter. A lower tooth count will increase torque and cadence, good for heavy loads, lower speeds and hilly terrain. A higher tooth count allows for higher speeds and a more reasonable cadence, good for high speed riding in proper areas.
ToSeven recommends 42T for the DM02 and 46T for the DM01 750W and 1000W motors as a good starting point. Chainrings are readily available on our website and are easily mounted.
ToSeven also produces chainrings with two offsets to assist in creating proper chainline. This ideal distance is the middle point between the inner and outer chainrings of the chainset, where the rear derailleur will work most efficiently.

Cables and Sensors
ToSeven uses a proprietary system to maintain reliable communications between middrive components. While there are similar looking cables and sensors available online, they most likely are NOT compatible and might jeopardize the reliability of the system. We offer these cables at reasonable prices and highly suggest that you do not experiment with other manufacturers cables. Chances are very good they will not work properly and can void the TwoSeven warranty.

Throttles and Brakes
Throttles and brakes are the physical connection to your middrive system, and vital to proper control. Unlike a number of higher end torque sensing middrive systems, the TwoSeven gives you access to a throttle. A throttle can be useful for times when a rider is unwilling or unable to continue to pedal to gain power assistance. For example, you are out on a ride, and your knee starts acting up, and you just need to get home. No problem, just hit the throttle. Hot and tired after a heavy workout on your TwoSeven equipped middrive? No issue, just turn on the throttle until you cool off.
Brake sensors on an electric drive system are important from a safety standpoint, and a piece of kit that we require to be purchased with our middrives. While it is optional to use a brake sensor, we always strive for safety and control, and a brake sensor does exactly that by cutting power whenever brakes are applied.
We have a wide variety of TwoSeven certified brake sensors and levers for cable accuated as well as hydraulic brake systems. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Programming Set
The DM Series is a work in progress. The system occasionally needs to have a firmware update. This applies to the motor controller as well as the display. The kit requires a Windows computer and USB interface. For more information on the use of the kit along with programs and updates please click the button below. The program kit is available in our shop.
